On February 22, 2014, Assistant Regional Director Erozan Kurtas unveiled the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) newest Big Data project, the National Exam Analytics Tool (NEAT). Kurtas, who is now the head of Advanced Data Analytics at FINRA, began his speech discussing the tremendous amount of data produced every 60 seconds.
